It was John Zinchyk’s prayer for Ukraine to become independent and in 1991, that dream and prayer became a reality.

With newfound freedom in Ukraine, John Zinchyk ceaselessly prayed that pastors and missionaries would relocate to the Poltava region where there were few Christians. This became a reality as several pastors along with their families moved to Poltava.

John Zinchyk helped purchase buildings for housing churches in Poltava.  Churches were established in Myrhorod, Obolon, Lubny, Periatin and Chornukhy.  Also, a home was purchased in Periatin to house missionaries.

John Zinchyk’s last trip to Ukraine was in 2000. Forty services were held throughout Ukraine.

The churches that Pastor John Zinchyk helped to establish in the Poltava region are flourishing. As every church is now involved in evangelism, summer camps and bible classes, the churches are growing in number. Youth from the United States and Canada are invited to join in the outreach effort. Many orphans are blessed by the youth groups that visit Ukraine every summer. Several pastors, that the Way to God ministry supports, are expanding their outreach to remote areas. This is the fulfillment of the vision Pastor John Zinchyk had when Ukraine became independent.

What About You?

Have you ever accepted the Lord as your Saviour? Do you know where you will spend your eternity? If not, we would like to offer you the same message of salvation we offer others through our broadcast.

God really loves you. He knows everything about you, both good and bad. No matter how good we are, there is nothing we can do to make up for the wrongs in our life. The good news is that God has made a way through His only Son, Jesus. He sent Jesus to the earth to save you. He shed sinless blood to pay the price for sin. Your salvation is secure if you accept Him and His sacrifice for you.

Inviting Him can be very simple. This is what you could say and believe in your heart:

Dear God,

Thank-you that You love me. Please forgive me for all the things I have done wrong. Thank-you that you sent Jesus to die for my sins. I believe in my heart that Jesus is Lord and that He was raised from the dead. I ask you, Jesus, to be my Lord from this day onward. In Your Name, I pray. Amen.
